Well now, even with the sub freezing temps a few nights ago (it got to 27f/-3c) it seems that a few of my deciduous trees think it’s spring. The first is a carpinus caroliniana (American hornbeam) and the second is a trident maple (acer buergerianum). I guess it is going to be in the eighties on Monday(26c or so) #mybonsaiworld #bonsai #isitspringyet #trees #floridabonsai (at Adam’s Art and Bonsai Studio and Nursery)

I had the honor of helping Karen Harkaway, the President of ABS, in choosing this composition for the American Bonsai Society Award at the Winter Silhouette show this last weekend. It is made up of one of my favorite native species, American hornbeam. And yes, that’s fake snow. Cool! #wintersilhouette2017 #americanbonsai #trees #bonsai (at Adam’s Art and Bonsai Studio and Nursery)
